Chris “The Crippler” Leben will return to the Octagon following a loss to challenge Andrew Craig in a middleweight contest, along with former Strikeforce welterweight Brian Melancon squaring off with Seth Baczynski. UFC 162 takes place on July 6 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Anderson Silva is expected to defend his middleweight title against Chris Weidman in the main event. The UFC officially announced the bout, which will headline UFC on Fuel TV 10 in Brazil. No venue has been made official thus far. This will be a rematch between the two heavyweights, as Nogueira defeated Werdum by decision at the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix in 2006. Source: Tatame Bellator light heavyweight and lightweight finals set for March 28 Bellator announced today the date and venue that will host the light heavyweight and light tournament final bouts. Emanuel Newton will square off with Mikhali Zayats in the 205-pound final, while David Rickels battles Saad Awad to wrap up the lightweight tournament. Both winners will be given a future title shot, along with a check for $100,000. The event will take place on March 28 from the University of South Florida Sun Dome, airing live on Spike TV. Magomedrasul “Frodo” Khasbulaev takes on Mike Richman in the featherweight final, while Brett Cooper fights Doug Marshall for a middleweight title shot. Along with a future title shot, the winners will be handed a check for $100,000. Also, Karo Parisyan vs. Rick Hawn will be added to the main card that will air on Spike TV. The event will take place from the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., and is headlined by Pat Curran defending his featherweight title against Shahbulat Shamhalaev. Leandro Silva suffered a leg infection during training, and will be forced to pull out of his fight with Brandon Thatch. Stepping in with be Roufusport fighter Mike Rhodes, who is 4-0 in his career.
