Leben Atop Additions to UFC 162

A pair of bouts have been added to the summer UFC 162 card.

Chris “The Crippler” Leben will return to the Octagon following a loss to challenge Andrew Craig in a middleweight contest, along with former Strikeforce welterweight Brian Melancon squaring off with Seth Baczynski.

UFC 162 takes place on July 6 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Anderson Silva is expected to defend his middleweight title against Chris Weidman in the main event.

Nogueira, Werdum official for UFC on Fuel TV 10

After Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum finish up coaching the next season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, the two will face on another on June 8.

The UFC officially announced the bout, which will headline UFC on Fuel TV 10 in Brazil. No venue has been made official thus far.

This will be a rematch between the two heavyweights, as Nogueira defeated Werdum by decision at the Pride Open Weight Grand Prix in 2006.

Ildemar Alcantara vs. Jason High targeted for UFC on Fuel TV 10

A welterweight bout between Brazilian Ildemar Alcantara and Jason High is in discussion for UFC on Fuel TV 10.

The UFC has not released the news, but Brazilian site Tatame.com has reported the rumor.

Bellator light heavyweight and lightweight finals set for March 28

Bellator announced today the date and venue that will host the light heavyweight and light tournament final bouts.

Emanuel Newton will square off with Mikhali Zayats in the 205-pound final, while David Rickels battles Saad Awad to wrap up the lightweight tournament.

Both winners will be given a future title shot, along with a check for $100,000.

The event will take place on March 28 from the University of South Florida Sun Dome, airing live on Spike TV.

Bellator 95 Gets Middleweight, Featherweight Finals, Parisyan-Hawn Welterweight Duel

Bellator 95 takes place on April 4, and features the finals of the middleweight and featherweight tournaments.

Magomedrasul “Frodo” Khasbulaev takes on Mike Richman in the featherweight final, while Brett Cooper fights Doug Marshall for a middleweight title shot.

Along with a future title shot, the winners will be handed a check for $100,000.

Also, Karo Parisyan vs. Rick Hawn will be added to the main card that will air on Spike TV. The event will take place from the Revel Casino in Atlantic City, N.J., and is headlined by Pat Curran defending his featherweight title against Shahbulat Shamhalaev.

Thatch vs. Rhodes new main event for RFA 7

Resurrection Fighting Alliance announced an injury that will force the promotion to alter its main event for March 22.

Leandro Silva suffered a leg infection during training, and will be forced to pull out of his fight with Brandon Thatch.

Stepping in with be Roufusport fighter Mike Rhodes, who is 4-0 in his career.

RFA 7 will take place from the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colo., broadcasting live on AXS TV.
