Guida out of UFC on Fox 7 bout with Mendes

Clay Guida was forced out of his second fight at featherweight against former title challenger Chad Mendes due to injury. No replacement has been named for his spot at the April 20 event on Fox.

Bellator’s April 4 card set with featherweight title fight, two tournament finals

Bellator MMA returns to Revel in Atlantic City on April 4. The card will be headlined by a featherweight title fight between champion Pat Curran and Season 7 tournament winner Shahbulat Shamhalaev.

Also on the main card are two tournament finalist fights for the $100,000 tournament championship prize and a title shot. At middleweight Doug Marshall meets Brett Cooper and at featherweight Mike Richman meets Frodo Khasvulaev.

The main card will also see a feature fight at welterweight between former Judo Olympian Rick Hawn and UFC veteran Karo Parisyan.

UFC on Fuel TV 9 gains bout with TUF 17 competitors

The UFC Sweden 2013 event, also known as UFC on Fuel TV 9: Gustafsson vs. Mousasi has added a match between TUF 17 fighters Tor Troeng and Adam Cella. This brings the total number of fights on the April 6 card to 13.

CWFC to hold event in Middle East

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship will hold CWFC Fight Night 8 on Saturday, May 11 in Al Fujairah, United Arab Emirates.

This will be the promotions eighth trip to the region and it plans on showcasing its roster of international talent. Further details forthcoming.

UFC on FX 8 gains flyweight bout

The May 18 UFC on FX 8 event will get a flyweight fight between Jussier Formiga and Chris Cariaso, bringing the card total to 10 fights.

The event takes place from the Arena Jaragua in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil. It will be headlined by a middleweight tilt between Vitor Belfort and Luke Rockhold.
