UFC 162 adds Frankie Edgar vs. Charles Oliveira, Dennis Siver vs. Cub Swanson Two featherweight bouts have been added to the UFC 162 lineup for July 6. Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar returns after a 145-pound title fight against Jose Aldo to take on another Brazilian, Charles Oliveira. Also, German striker Dennis Siver will go toe-to-toe with Cub Swanson. The two were expected to meet in February until Siver suffered an injury. UFC 162 takes place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, headlined by Anderson Silva defending his middleweight title against Chris Weidman. Source: UFC Bowles-Roop, Bermudez-Holloway added to UFC 160 Brian Bowles hasn’t fought since November 2011 at UFC 139, but will return to the Octagon in two months. Bowles will take on George Roop at UFC 160, which will be a match-up of two former members of the WEC promotion. Also, featherweights Dennis Bermudez and Max Holloway will lock horns in a fight between two of the division’s top prospects. UFC 160 takes place on May 25 in Las Vegas with Cain Velasquez vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva for the heavyweight belt in the main event. Source: UFC Rodrigo Damm vs. Mizuto Hirota targeted for UFC on Fuel TV 10 The UFC on Fuel TV 10 card continues to grow as a featherweight contest has been made. Brazilian Rodrigo Damm will compete in his home country of Brazil against Mizuto Hirota in what is expected to be on the preliminary portion of the card.
