Mitrione’s suspension lifted, fight scheduled

After he was put on suspension as a result of comments made about fighter Fallon Fox, UFC heavyweight Matt Mitrione’s suspension has been officially lifted, and he has been scheduled for a fight.

Brendan Schaub will fight Mitrione in a battle of TUF 10 alumni.  Both fighters will enter the Octagon riding a victory, as Mitrione defeated Phil De Fries, and Schaub took down Lavar Johnson, respectively.  The fight will take place at UFC on Fox 8 in July.

Hathaway out, High in at UFC on Fuel TV 10

Erick Silva was scheduled to fight John Hathaway at UFC on Fuel TV 10, however it has been announced that Jason High will replace Hathaway and fight the Brazilian instead.

High has fought once inside the Octagon, where he lost a decision to Charlie Brenneman back in 2010.

UFC on Fuel TV 10 takes place on June 8 in Fortaleza, Brazil.

Three fighters signed by Cage Warriors

European MMA promotion Cage Warriors signed three fighters today.  Valentino Petrescu, Spencer Hewitt, and Chad Griffiths have been added to the promotions roster.

The three fighters combine for a total record of 16-8, and all hail from England.
