Chris Camozzi filling in to face Ronaldo Souza at UFC on FX 8

With Costa Phillippou out of his UFC on FX 8 match against Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Chris Camozzi has stepped up to take on Jacare in his first UFC match.

Phillippou was pulled from the fight due to a cut just a couple of weeks before UFC on FX 8 goes live in Brazil.

Camozzi was originally suppose to fight Rafael Natal on the preliminary card, but now has stepped up to take the fight putting his four-fight winning streak on the line. Joao Zeferino has stepped up to replace Camozzi against Natal in his UFC debut.

UFC on FX 8 takes place on May 18th in Brazil with the main card airing on FX and the preliminary portion airing on Facebook and FUEL TV.

Steve Carl vs. Tyson Steele to co-main WSOF 3

World Series of Fighting 3 has found it’s new co-main event in the form of a welterweight battle between Steve Carl and Tyson Steele.

The co-main event was originally slated to be Tyrone Spong versus Angel DeAnda, but due to visa issues for Spong, the fight has been nixed and replaced with the Carl/Steele co-main event.

WSOF 3 takes place on June 14 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Michel Prazeres facing Paulo Thiago at UFC on FX 8

Another fight has been made official for the Brazilian card, UFC on FX 8. Welterweights Paulo Thiago and Michel Prazeres will meet at UFC on FX 8.

Thiago will be the first fight in the UFC for Prazeres who has amassed a perfect 16-0 record so far in his MMA career.

UFC on FX 8 is headlined by a middleweight fight between Brazil’s very own, Vitor Belfort and former Strikeforce middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold.

Adrian Pang and Jai Bradney to fight at Adrenalin-Unleashed

Australian based promotion, Adrenalin-Unleashed has announced a lightweight fight between Adrian Pang and Jai Bradney.

The two fighters will meet on June 29th at the Eatons Hill Hotel and Function Centre just north of Brisbane, Australia.

This will be Pang’s first fight since his assault which kept him out the sport with numerous injuries.

The Australian event will contain a mixture of Muay Thai and MMA fights.
