More details of UFC on Fox Sports 1 revealed While it has been known for a while that Fox will launch the new television network of Fox Sports 1 on Aug. 17 and that a UFC event will be accompanied by it, there have been more details and events announced. The network will launch at 8:00 a.m. ET and will show NASCAR programing until 3:30 p.m. ET, which is where the network will air UFC programing leading into the live UFC event. UFC Unleashed, UFC Ultimate Insider, and UFC Tonight will lead into the live preliminary fights at 6:00 p.m. ET, which then goes into the main card at 8:00 p.m. ET. Following the event, the UFC will step aside while Fox Sports Live, the networks flagship news, opinion, and highlights show, will air. There are also two additional UFC events that have been announced, as the first ever Wednesday card has been scheduled to take place on Aug. 28, with another event to take place on Wednesday, Sept. 4. Immediately following the event on Sept. 4, The Ultimate Fighter 18 will air its inaugural episode. As it currently stands, the Aug. 17th show is scheduled to take place in Boston, while the other two announced events currently do not have host cities. SOURCE: Fox Sports Bellator 96 preliminary card revealed When Bellator returns this summer for its summer series, there has been several fights that have been known including the four fighter light heavyweight tournament, along with a lightweight title fight between Michael Chandler and Dave Jansen. It has been announced who will serve to fight on the evenings preliminary bouts, which will air live on Spike.com at 5:30 p.m. ET. Raphael Butler vs. Karl Etherington Volkan Oezdemir vs. Joe Yager Mikey Brown vs. Brandon Halsey Steven Artoff vs. Justin McNally Damon Jackson vs. Keith Miner Mike Maldonado vs. Jason Sampson Brandon Girtz vs. Treston Thomison Keith Berry vs. Cortez Coleman Bellator 96 takes place on June 19 at Thackerville, Okla. Ryan Benoit will take on Anthony Mirchak after both fighters successfully made weight. This fight serves as the main event after the heavyweight fight between Chris Barnett and Smealinho Rama was scrapped after Barnett failed his pre-fight medical examination. The event will also make history with brothers Thomas Treadwell and Mike Treadwell each making their professional debut against one another. A welterweight, Thatch holds a record of 9-1 and most recently was victorious at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 7 with a submission victory over Mike Rhodes.
