The UFC is headed back to Indianapolis.

On the heels of a recent announcement that the promotion would host its first event on the soon-to-be launched cable network Fox Sports 1 in Boston on Aug. 17, the date and location of the second event will be Indianapolis on Aug. 28.

The announcement came during the Indiana Pacers-New York Knicks game on Saturday, May 11 following the first quarter. The Banker’s Life Fieldhouse—the host venue for the event—also confirmed the news a short time later.

The promotion has not returned to Indiana since its inaugural visit at UFC 119 in September of 2010. The city was expected to host UFC on FX 5 last fall, but the event was eventually shifted to Minneapolis.

At this point in time, no fights have been revealed for the Wednesday night event. However, a fight card is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Tickets for the event go on sale on June 14.

A third event on Fox Sports 1 is expected on Sept. 4, which will lead into the first episode of The Ultimate Fighter 18. A location for that event is also expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
