Carlos Condit vs. Martin Kampmann II to headline second event on Fox Sports 1

Former UFC interim welterweight champion Carlos Condit will have a chance to avenge a 2009 split decision loss to Martin Kampmann on Aug. 28.

The pair will headline the promotion’s second event on Fox Sport 1 which takes place from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

On Friday, May 31, ONE FC held its ninth event from the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Philippines. The event’s main card aired live on via pay-per-view on the promotion’s website.

Cage Warriors 55 Weigh-in Results

Cage Warriors will hold its 55th event on Saturday, June 1 from The Helix in Dublin. The main card will stream live on MMA Junkie, while the preliminary card will air on Facebook. Headliner Che Mills missed the mark for his welterweight title fight with champion Cathal Pendred and will forfeit 25 percent of his fight purse. The fight is now a non-title affair.

UFC debut on Fox Sports 1 adds three bouts

The UFC’s return to Boston on Aug. 17 for the promotion’s debut on the soon-to-be launched Fox Sports 1 is beginning to fill out. The event will take place from the TD Garden.

On Friday, the promotion revealed that Irish fighter Conor McGregor will take on TUF Live alum Andy Ogle in a featherweight contest, former WEC champion Mike Brown will face another TUF veteran in Akira Corassani, also at 145 pounds, and Ultimate Fighter 17 runner-up Uriah Hall will take on Canadian Nick Ring.

Makdessi out, Oliveira in against Barboza at UFC 162

Canadian lightweight John Makdessi has suffered an undisclosed injury and has been forced out of the July 6 UFC 162 in Las Vegas.

As a result of the injury, Rafaello Oliveira will step in against his countryman Edson Barboza. The fight is slated for the preliminary card of the event.

UFC 162 is headlined by a middleweight title fighter between champion Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.

Bellator inks NCAA wrestling champion Bubba Jenkins

Bellator MMA has signed undefeated NCAA wrestling champion Bubba Jenkins.

The lightweight has gone 3-0 as a professional, winning all of his contests by submission.

UFC 164 gains heavyweight Nikita Krylov, Soa Palelei

Milwaukee’s first UFC event has added another scale-tipping affair as Ukrainian Nikita Krylov will face off with a returning Soa Palelei on Aug. 31.

The Australian Palelei was slated to face Stipe Miocic at UFC 161 in June, but injuries shuffled the card and the hard-hitting fighter will now compete later in the summer.

UFC 164 takes place from the Bradley Center. A main event has yet to be revealed for the event.

UFC’s August visit to Brazil adds two fights

The UFC’s return to the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro on Aug. 3 will feature a battle of Ultimate Fighter veterans as TUF 17’s Clint Hester will take on TUF Brazil winner Cezar Ferreira at middleweight.

Also on the card, submission specialists Yinny Magalhaes and Anthony Perosh will lock horns in a light heavyweight affair.

UFC 163 is headlined by a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Anthony Pettis.

London gets Cage Warriors 56 on July 6

The UK’s Cage Warriors promotion has revealed its plans for its 56th event which will take place at the Forum in London on July 6.

Recent welterweight signee Bola Omoyele takes on Vincent del Guerra in a main-card affair. Middlweights Denniston Sutherland and Brett Bassett also grace the main card.

 UFC relaxes testing limit for marijuana

UFC officials have raised the marijuana metabolites threshold to match the one established by the World Anti-Doping Agency.

According to UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner, the amount has been changed from from 50 ng/mL to 150 ng/mL.
