Davis-Machida slated for UFC 163

Phil Davis will come off of his UFC 159 win over Vinny Magalhaes to fight a steep step-up in competition. At UFC 163, Davis will stand across from Lyoto Machida. The former UFC light-heavyweight champion recently defeated Dan Henderson and looked to earn a title shot at reigning UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones before the champion’s recent toe injury. The UFC did not state if this means Jones will see a title defense opposite Alexander Gustafsson upon his return to action.
