Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Joins Bellator and TNA in Multi-Year Deal

Former Pride and UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has signed a multi-year deal with Bellator, TNA, and Spike TV.  “Rampage” now joins a light heavyweight division loaded with talent like former Strikeforce champion Muhammed “King Mo” Lawal, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, and current Bellator champ Attila Vegh.

Further details around the signing are expected to be released when the company holds a press conference on Wednesday.

UFC to Host Second Annual UFC Fight Week

UFC officials have announced the promotion will host a second UFC Fight week from July 3- July 6. The event will feature  the biggest UFC Fan Expo to date, an Ultimate Poker tournament, UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony, a free Three Days Grace concert, Tuff-N-Uff MMA tournament, an exclusive UFC fan party, and autograph signings.

The UFC Fight week will be capped off by the UFC 162 event which is set to feature an UFC title fight between Anderson “The Spider” Silva and Chris Weidman.

Bahadurzada Steps in for Saffiedine; Faces Lawler at Fox 8

Siyar Bahadurzada will replace the injured Tarec Saffiedine to face Robbie Lawler at the UFC on Fox 8 event. Bahadurzada will look to put a loss to Dong Hyun Kim behind him. The much-heralded prospect had won seven consecutive victories prior to the loss. Lawler is coming off a surprising victory over Josh Koscheck at UFC 157.

UFC on FOX 8 takes place July 27 at KeyArena in Seattle and will feature an UFC flyweight title fight between Demetrious Johnson and John Moraga along with a welterweight showdown between Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger.

BJJ Ace Robert Drysdale Signs with UFC; Faces Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC 163

BJJ stud Robert Drysdale has signed with the UFC and will make his promotional debut at UFC 163 against Ednaldo Oliveira. Drysdale, who coaches a number of UFC fighters, began his MMA career in 2010 and has amassed a 6-0 record. Oliveira will be making his first appearance since UFC 142 when the Brazilian lost to Gabriel Gonzaga in his UFC debut.

UFC 163 takes place Aug. 3 at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro and is headlined by a featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Anthony Pettis.

Urijah Faber vs. Yuri Alcantara Set for Fox Sports 1: 1 Event

A bantamweight battle of contenders will go down on the debut card for the UFC on Fox Sports 1 as Urijah Faber will face Yuri Alcantara. Faber is perhaps the division’s most popular star and will look to continue to build momentum as he’s coming off a submission victory over Scott Jorgensen in April. Alcantara won his last bout via knockout and has won 14 of his last 15 bouts including a KO over Ricardo Lamas.
