Bellator events to air live in the UK

When Bellator returns to action on June 19 with Bellator 96, not only will the fights be aired in America on Spike TV, but they will also air live on VIVA, a Viacom-owned network in England.

Fans in the United Kingdom will be able to enjoy Bellator’s upcoming summer series, along with season nine which starts in September.

Cage Warriors buys out Ronnie Mann

After spending $5,000 to buy him from his Bellator contract, Ronnie Mann is now an official fighter on the roster of European promotion Cage Warriors.

While the financial terms of the deal were undisclosed, it was revealed that he will be with his new promotion for the next 18 months.  Additionally, despite not currently having an opponent lined up, Mann will fight on July 20’s Cage Warriors 57 card in England.

WSOF 4 and WSOF 5 details emerge

While the World Series of Fighting looks to hold their third card next Friday night, the promotion has been working behind the scenes for the two cards that follow.

The Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. will host WSOF 4 on Aug. 10, while Atlantic City, N.J. will be the home of WSOF 5 on  Sept. 14.  While a venue has been officially announced for WSOF 4, the venue for WSOF has yet to be announced.

Although neither card has any announced fights on tap, both main cards will air on NBC Sports Network.

UFC 160 attendance and gate released

When it was all said and done at UFC 160, T.J. Grant and Junior dos Santos had done enough to win earn a title shot at their respective weight classes, while heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez successfully defended his title.

Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer today released information for the event.  The total gate was $2,942,365.  The total number of sold tickets was 10,075, while 2,305 were comped, resulting in a total attendance of 12,380.  A total of 1,403 seats went unsold.

UFC 160 took place on May 25, 2013 in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
