Ronny Markes vs. Derek Brunson fight canceled after Markes involved in car accident

Unfortunately, Ronny Markes and Derek Brunson will not be competing at UFC on Fuel TV 10 this Saturday.

Markes was involved in a car accident Friday morning, suffering a concussion, along with neck and back injuries. The UFC has ruled Markes unfit to fight.

UFC on Fuel TV 10, which takes place on June 7 in Fortaleza, Brazil, will now go on with 12 bouts instead of 13.

Brian Bowles fails UFC 160 post-fight drug test with elevated T/E ratio

All fighters tested negative in the UFC 160 post-fight drug testing by the Nevada Athletic Commission, except bantamweight Brian Bowles.

According to Executive Director of the commission, Keith Kizer, Bowles test positive for an elevated T/E ratio, which refers to testosterone.

No further information is available at this time.

Tyson Griffin vs. Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante added to WSOF 4

The recently announced World Series of Fighting 4 event now has a lightweight bout on the card, as former UFC contender Tyson Griffin will take on Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante.

The event takes place on Aug. 10 from the Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, Calif. It will air live and free on NBC Sports Network.
