Cage Warriors signs seven

Steven Ray, Shaj Haque, Mick Sinclair, Carl Noon, Lawrence Fitzpatrick, Bryan Creighton and John Redmond signed respective five-fight, 18 month-long deals with Cage Warriors, adding some depth to their divisions.  Creigton and Hague hold regard as two of the U.K.’s top flyweights, while Redmond and Noon add to the Cage Warriors welterweight division. Meanwhile Ray and Sinclair will add some new blood to the Cage Warriors lightweight division, and undefeated finisher Fitzpatrick will take his talents to the featherweight division.

WSOF 3 weigh-ins set for Thursday

The World Series of Fighting returns with an action-packed card this Friday, with weigh-ins set for Thursday at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, which also hosts Friday’s card. The first fighters will hit the scales at 4PM EST and fans can watch the weigh-ins live on the WSOF’s official website.

CWFC 57 gets hometown favorites

Cage Warriors 57 will see three of Liverpool’s hungriest prospects in action. Welterweights Danny Roberts and Mauro Chimento face off, while Lee Chadwick combats Mats Nilsson(10-2-1) at middleweight, and in a battle of solid featherweight prospects, undefeated Chris Fishgold faces 6-1 prospect Marcin Wrzosek. Fishgold, Roberts, and Chadwick all look to garner wins on home soil while making successful returns to the Cage Warriors stage.

Sefo returns to MMA at WSOF 4

WSOF president Ray Sefo will step inside the cage once more, this time for his own promotion. While he still awaits an opponent, Sefo will target a spot on WSOF 4 this August. When he does return to action, the bout would mark over two years since a loss to Valentijn Overeem in the alternate round of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand-Prix.

Griffin debuts against “JZ” at WSOF 4

Tyson Griffin will see action against Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante at WSOF 4 in Ontario, Calif. this August. Griffin recently defeated The Ultimate Fighter 8 winner Efrain Escudero, while Cavalcante stands at 1-1 for the promotion after a loss to Justin Gaethje. Both men will look to sway the momentum in their favors come fight night.
