Global Warrior Challenge: ‘British Invasion’ Weigh-in Results

Fighters took to the scales Friday morning to weigh-in for Global Warrior Challenge: ‘British Invasion’, which takes place on June 29 from the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo.

In the main event, former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley will take on late replacement Matthew Larson in a heavyweight battle. Also on the card are many recognizable veterans, including former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez, Ultimate Fighter season three winner Kendall Grove, and Ultimate Fighter season nine finalist Andre Winner, among others.

Rodriguez vs. Marcin Lazarz was expected to be a light heavyweight contest, but is now a 215-pound catchweight limit. Also, Grove vs. Danny Mitchell will now be contested at 190 pounds instead of originally being at middleweight.

Cage Warriors announces four-man bantamweight tournament

At Cage Warriors 59, a four-man bantamweight tournament will be held to crown a new champion.

England native James Pennington and Sweden’s David Haggstrom will join Martin McDonough and Brett Johns with hopes of capturing the vacant title.

Cage Warriors 59 takes place on Sept. 14 from the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff, Wales.
