Michael Bisping vs. Mark Munoz Targeted for Oct. 26 Card in Manchester

Michael Bisping returns to England on October 26 to face Mark Munoz at home in Manchester.

The bout could be seen as a top contender fight considering the recent shakeup in the middleweight division and given Munoz’s most recent win over Tim Boetsch. Bisping is coming off of a loss to Vitor Belfort in January where he was knocked out by the former No. 1 contender.

Bisping last fought in England three years ago when he beat Yoshihiro Akiyama by decision. Since that fight on his home soil, Bisping has amassed a 4-2 record.

The card has yet to be determined, but the date is set for October 26 and is expected to be a five-round main event in the Manchester Arena.

Anthony Pettis in, T.J. Grant Out Versus Benson Henderson

Let the conspiracy theories loose: T.J. Grant is injured and will be replaced against Benson Henderson by none other than Anthony Pettis. Grant’s withdrawal is due to a concussion.

Pettis and Henderson met originally at WEC 53 where Pettis stole the WEC lightweight belt from Henderson after pulling off the now famous, “Showtime Kick”.

Pettis has rallied for numerous title fights getting both a shot at featherweight champion Jose Aldo and now Henderson. Pettis originally pulled out of his fight with Aldo that was suppose to take place on Aug. 3 due to injury. Now, Pettis will meet Henderson just a mere 28 days later from his old scheduled fight with Aldo.

The two meet at UFC 164 on August 31 in Milwaukee at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Wisniewski/Guimares and Dillashaw/Assuncao set for UFC on FOX Sports 1 3

UFC on FOX Sports 1 3 added two more fights to the card with a bantamweight and a welterweight bout.

First, the bantamweight fight now scheduled for UFC on FOX Sports 1 3 will be T.J. Dillashaw against Raphael Assuncao. After dropping from featherweight, Assuncao will look to get his fifth straight victory with his home crowd behind him. Dillashaw will also be looking for his fifth straight victory against Assuncao and is the second Team Alpha Male member making the trip to Brazil as Joseph Benavidez also fights Jussier Formiga on the same card.

Then, at welterweight, Keith Wisniewski will take on Marcelo Guimares. Wisniewski is coming off of a split decision loss against Chris Clements in April of 2012. Guimares is also coming off of a loss this past March in Japan against Hyun Gyu Lim. Guimares will look to rebound from the knockout loss in front of his fellow Brazilians.

UFC on FOX Sports 1 3 takes place on September 4 at the Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
