Johnson-Kyle headlines WSOF 5

Anthony Johnson returns to light-heavyweight and looks for his third win inside the World Series of Fighting cage when the promotion presents WSOF 5, emanating live from Revel Casino Hotel’s Ovation Hall in on New Jersey’s Revel Atlantic City on Sept. 14, and airing only on NBC Sports Network. Johnson will see action in the headliner, where he squares off against Mike Kyle. Kyle will come off of his 21-second knockout of Travis Wiuff.

Bellator 99 features FW tournament in Temecula

On Sept. 13, Bellator 99 comes to Temecula, Calif., which will host the season-nine Bellator featherweight tournament quarterfinals. The promotion will likely announce participants as the event draws nears, but the even will mark just the second event of season nine. The season will kick off a week earlier in Uncasville, Conn. and concludes in December.

Cage Warriors 57 undergoes changes

Injuries will force four men from Cage Warriors 57. While Mats Nilsson awaits a replacement foe, Aldric Cassata replaces Lee Chadwick against Danny Roberts, Ali Arish steps in for Bruno Carvalho to meet Jack Mason, and Jason Cooledge fills in for Lew Long to face off against Saul Rogers.

Third event on UFC on Fox Sports 1 gets four new bouts

The UFC confirmed previously reported bouts of Rafael Natal vs. Tor Troeng, Johnny Bedford vs. Hugo Viana, and Marcos Vinicius vs. Ali Bagautinov for UFC on Fox Sports 1 #3. However, the card will also see Marcelo Guimares in action against Keith Wisniewski. Guimares comes off of a KO loss to Hyun Gyu Lim, while Wisniewski looks to rebound from back-to-back losses to Josh Neer and Chris Clements.
