UFC Fight Night 26 Bonuses

After UFC Fight Night 26 wrapped up from the TD Garden on Aug. 17, the UFC announced six bonuses that were awarded to the night’s big winners.

The lone Fight of the Night bonus went to Michael McDonald and Brad Pickett, which was the featured prelim bout of the evening.

Two Knockout of the Night awards were given. First, Matt Brown for his first-round finish of Mike Pyle in a welterweight clash, and secondly, Travis Browne’s front kick to the face knockout over Alistair Overeem.

There were also two Submission of the Night honors. McDonald went home with his second paycheck for his triangle choke victory over Pickett, and the headliner Chael Sonnen also pocketed a bonus for submitting Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in the first round.

The amount of the bonuses weren’t announced, but are expected to be standard of $50,000 each.
