UFC signs Jessica Eye

Top WMMA fighter Jessica Eye was recently released by Bellator MMA and now has a home with the UFC’s bantamweight division.

No opponent for her debut was announced, though Sarah Kaufman’s name was mentioned by UFC Tonight broadcasters.

Statement on Stefan Struve’s heart condition

UFC heavyweight Stefan Struve was recently diagnosed with a leaky aortic valve and an enlarged heart.

The UFC’s tallest fighter will be taking several months away from competition to assess his options for treatment and recovery with no indication when or if he might return to active competition.

Wilson Reis steps in at UFC FN 28

Wilson Reis will make his UFC debut as a replacement for an injured Johnny Bedford in a match against Hugo Viana.

The two are set to meet at UFC Fight Night 28 which takes place Sept. 4 and airs live on Fox Sports 1.

Watson vs. Sakara set for UFC FN 30

The UFC has announced that middleweights Tom Watson and Alessio Sakara are booked for a Oct. 26 meeting at UFC Fight Night 30 which airs live on Fox Sports 1.

WSOF 5 to feature three Gracies

World Series of Fighting fans are going to get used to seeing a familiar name on its Sept. 14 World Series of Fighting 5 event because three Gracie family members have fights booked on it.

The main card headlined by Andre Arlovski vs. Mike Kyle will see a heavyweight showdown between Rolles Gracie and Derrick Mehmen.

The preliminary portion of the card will see two other family members competing that night when Gregor Gracie meets Rich Patishnock at welterweight and Nieman Gracie makes his professional MMA debut at middleweight against Darren Costa.
