Megumi Fujii and Jessica Aguilar II set for Vale Tudo Japan 3rd

While it has been known for some time that MMA pioneer Megumi Fujii would retire following a final fight at Vale Tudo Japan 3rd on Oct. 5 in Tokyo, only now has her opponent been revealed.

Standing across from Fujii will be a familar face in fellow top-ranked strawweight Jessica Aguilar. Aguilar bested Fujii by decision in May of 2012 under the Bellator banner.

Matt Grice in serious auto accident, pulled from UFC 166

Featherweight Matt Grice was involved in a serious auto accident that required surgery. As a result, Grice has been pulled from a scheduled UFC 166 bout against Jeremy Larsen on Oct. 16.

The final details from the UFC’s recent trip to Boston for UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen have been released.

The Massachusetts State Athletic Commission has revealed that 14,181 fans attended the event for a live gate of $1,533,940.

Travis Browne: $48,000 (includes $24,000 win bonus) def. Alistair Overeem: $285,714.29
