UFC 168 adds Bahadurzada-Howard, Del Rosario-Inocente

The UFC’s end of year show, UFC 168, has added to preliminary card bouts.

Afghan welterweight Siyar Bahadurzada will return to the Octagon for the first time since March to take on recent promotional re-signee, John Howard.

Also on deck will be a heavyweight affair between Strikeforce veterans Shane del Rosario and Guto Inocente.

UFC 168 takes places from the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Dec. 28 and is headlined by two title fights. Middleweight champion Chris Weidman will rematch Anderson Silva, while women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will battle Miesha Tate for a second time.

Bellator 109 to host heavyweight title fight

On Nov. 22, Bellator heavyweight champion Alexander Volkov will make the first defense of his title when he takes on countryman and tournament winner Vitaly Minakov.

The fight will headline Bellator 109 which takes place from the Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, Pa. and airs live on Spike TV.

Cat Zingano has second knee surgery

After an ACL tear forced undefeated bantamweight Cat Zingano out of coaching gig on the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter, the fighter was expected to be out until the end of 2013.

However, the Coloradan has been forced to undergo a second procedure on the knee, delaying her return until March or April of 2014.
