Bellator champ Dantas out for rest of the year with injury

Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas will be sidelined for the rest of 2013 due to an ankle injury received in training.

The injury puts his title defense against tournament winner Rafael Silva on hold until next year.

UFC 165 drug test results

Only a third of the Sept. 21 UFC 165 participants received post-fight drug tests, but all those that did passed.

Headliners Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson were part of the group that tested and passed along with six others.

Bellator 105 to hold lightweight semifinals

On Oct. 25, Bellator 105 will host the season nine lightweight tournament semifinals.

Saad Awad is set to rematch Will Brooks from their semifinal meeting last season and Alexander “Tiger” Sarnavskiy will meet Ricardo Tirloni on their way to the finals.

Bellator 105 takes place from the Santa Ana Star Casino in Rio Rancho, N.M.

Caceres and Gangon meet in Austrialia

UFC bantamweights Alex Caceres and Mitch Gangon are the newest additions set to meet at UFC Fight Night 33.

Their bout will likely serve on the preliminary portion of the card which will air Dec. 6 on Fox Sports 1. It will air Friday in the U.S. due to the time difference from taking place in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
