Bellator 106 features five-fight main card

With undefeated Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler’s rematch with former champion Eddie Alvarez now headlining Bellator 106, which will air on Spike TV with prelims on Spike.com, the main card will now receive a five-fight main card. Mike Richman and Akop Stepanyan will kick the main card off, while the “Fight Master” welterweight  finale between Mike Bronzoulis and Joe Riggs will move up to main-card billing. Bouts featuring the likes of Terry Etim, Karo Parisyan, and others will take place at future Bellator events.

Legacy FC 26 gets Garcia-Aguilar title bou

Legacy FC 26, live from Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio, TX. on Dec. 6, will feature undefeated Kevin Aguilar faces UFC veteran Leonard Garcia for the vacant Legacy featherweight  crown. Also, undefeated Thomas Almeida meets Team Tooke’s undefeated prodigy Chris Lopez. Chris Pecero rounds out the card against experienced veteran James “Deuce” King at featherweight, and once-beaten Brandon Ruiz takes on CJ Vergara  in a battle of rising flyweight prospects.

Wallhead returns at BAMMA 14

“Judo” Jim Wallhead will return to the BAMMA cage when the promotion comes to Birmingham’s LG Arena on Dec, 14. Wallhead, a Bellator veteran ranked among the UK’s elite, faces 14-7 sensation Florent Betorangal, who trains out of the Parabellum Combat Club in Paris. The French-born welterweight carries a background in Taekwondo but owns the brunt of his pro wins by submission.

RFA 11 main card announced

In addition to Matt Manzanares vs. Zach Makovsky, RFA 11 will showcase a number of rising prospects. Tommy Thompson takes on Tyler Toner, Chinzo Machida draws Dragon Tao founder Brian Wood, Vinnie Lopez fights Lucas Rota, and Danny Mainus faces debuting Scott Ingram. UFC veteran Alvin Robinson takes co-headliner status opposite undefeated 7-0 prospect Raoni Barcelos.

Buentello-Villanueva set for Legacy FC 27

Paul Buentello will look to continue his succes at light-heavyweight when he faces Issac Villanueva at Legacy FC 27 on July 31, 2014. Buentello made a successful debut at 205 against James McSweeney and rides a four-fight winning streak. Meanwhile, Villanueva rides a four-fight losing skid, including a loss to Robert Drysdale in mid-2012.
