Maguire signs with Cage Warriors

UFC veteran John Maguire has signed a deal with Cage Warriors.  The contract reads that he will have five fights over a minimum of 18 months.

Despite not having an announced opponent, Maguire is scheduled to fight at Cage Warriors 63 in Dublin, Ireland.

Cage Warriors 62 updates

A number of bouts have been added to Cage Warriors 62:

  • Flyweight title: Neil Seery vs. Ulysses Gomez
  • Bantamweight: Jordan Desborough vs. Cory Tait
  • Middleweight: Leeroy Barnes vs. Ronan McKay
  • Middleweight: Chris Scott vs. Steve Dinsdale
  • Featherweight: Danny Lawson vs. Alex Enlund
  • Flyweight: Shaj Haque vs. Mark Connor
  • Women’s Bantamweight: Agnieszka Niedzwiedz vs. Kerry Hughes
  • Women’s Bantamweight: Emma Delaney vs. Laura Howarth

In addition to this, lightweight Curt Warburton will be on the card.  Currently, the UFC veteran does not have an opponent, however he is being targeted for a bout at the event.

Cage Warriors 62 takes place on Dec. 7 in Newcastle, England.

XFC 27 Announced

After a successful trip to Nashville for XFC 26, the promotion will head to Muskegon, Mi for the next event.  The main event at XFC 27 will be UFC veteran Junior Assuncao taking on Daniel Swain in a lightweight title fight.  In the evenings co-main event, the Michigan fans will get to see the finals of the promotions featherweight title tournament, as Frank Sharipov and Deivision Ribeiro will square off for the strap.

As of today, the card looks like this:

  • Junior Assuncao vs. Daniel Swain – lightweight title fight
  • Frank Sharipov vs. Deivision Ribeiro – featherweight title fight
