Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira confirmed for March 15

The UFC announced Wednesday that the light heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira will take place at UFC 171 on Saturday, March 15 in Dallas.

Hopefully the third time is a charm, as Jones vs. Teixeira has been postponed twice already. The previous dates rumored for the fight were Feb. 1 and Feb. 22.

“Rumble” Johnson part of WSOF 8 Card in January

World Series of Fighting has announced their featured fights for “World Series of Fighting 8: Gaethje vs. Cavalcante.”

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will clash with the experienced Mike Kyle in night’s co-main event, while the main event pits undefeated Justin Gaethje against Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante for the first ever World Series of Fighting lightweight championship.

The event will take place on Saturday, Jan. 18 in Hollywood, Fla.

Cat Zingano ready to resume training

UFC bantamweight Cat Zingano has revealed on her Twitter page Wednesday that she is back to training and will be ready for the winner of Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate.

Also posted on Zingano’s YouTube page is a video of Zingano’s doctor giving her the good news. She is now able to train BJJ and light kickboxing. According to the same YouTube page, she is projected to be sparring by March and fighting for the belt by May.

UFC finds quick replacement for Dodson

Almost as soon as it was announced that John Dodson had to pull out from his fight against Scott Jorgensen, the UFC has found a replacement. Zach Makovsky will step in to face Jorgensen at UFC on Fox 9 on Dec. 14 in Sacramento, Calif.

Makovsky, a Bellator veteran, recently captured the RFA flyweight title. He holds a professional record of 16-4. This will be his second fight in a span of just a few weeks.
