Cormier vs. Evans, MacDonald vs. Maia Slated for February

Daniel Cormier has an opponent for his debut fight at 205 pounds.

Cormier will face former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans at UFC 170 on Feb. 22. The event takes place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

The UFC has also announced a welterweight bout between Rory MacDonald and Demian Maia, who are both coming off losses.

UFC Fight Night 33 attendance, live gate, and bonuses

UFC Fight Night 33 took place on Dec. 6 from the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia.

Announced at the post-fight press conference, the event drew an attendance of 11,393 with a live gate of $1.785 million.

Three men walked away $50,000 richer as Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva earned Fight of the Night honors, while Mauricio “Shogun” Rua won Knockout of the Night. There were no submissions on the card.

WSOF 7 Weigh-in Results

Fighters tipped the scale on Friday before WSOF 7 takes place the following day from the PNE Agrodome in Vancouver. All 18 fighters made the required weight and all fights are official.

World Series of Fighting to air two events on NBC in 2014

The vastly growing promotion World Series of Fighting has plans of airing two events on NBC in 2014.

The organization expects to air the first event on NBC in the summer, with the other later in the year. WSOF plans on putting on eight to 10 shows in 2014, with all but two continuing to air on its current platform of NBC Sports Network.

Lewis Gonzalez replaces injured JZ Cavalcante against Justin Gaethje for WSOF lightweight title

Just days after announcing Justin Gaethje would fight JZ Cavalcante for the WSOF lightweight title, Calvalcante has been forced out to injury.

In comes Lewis Gonzalez, who will fight Gaethje at WSOF 8 on Jan. 18 from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Fla.

Bantamweight newcomers Russell Doane, Leandro Issa meet at UFC Fight Night 34

Bantamweights Russell Doane and Leandro Issa have signed with the UFC and are set to fight at UFC Fight Night 34.

Headlined by a welterweight clash between Tarec Saffiedine and Hyun Gyu Lim, the event takes place on Jan. 4 from the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre in Singapore.

Elias Silverio meets Isaac Vallie-Flagg at UFC Fight Night 35 in Georgia

Another addition has been added to UFC Fight Night 35 in Georgia.

Lightweights Elias Silverio and Isaac Vallie-Flagg will lock horns on Jan. 15 when the UFC invades the Arena at Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga.

Cage Warriors 62 Weigh-in Results

The initial main event between Ulysses Gomez and Neil Seery was called off due to Gomez collapsing while cutting weight and had to be rushed to the hospital. But a new main event is in place as Curt Warburton takes on Wesley Munch moves up to take the slot.
