TUF 18 Finale live gate, attendance, and drug tests

The Nevada State Athletic Commission revealed the live gate and attendance figures for The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. For a $322,742.50 live gate,  the event sold – 3,156, with 1,346 tickets going unsold, and 1,697 comped tickets. Additionally, all 20 fighters from the card underwent drug testing after the card and the results came back negative.

RFA 12 gets “T-City” vs. Koch.

Undefeated prospects Brian Ortega and Keoni Koch will do battle on Jan. 24 in Los Angeles as part of RFA 12. The bout, slated for the headliner to the RFA 12 card, will see the RFA featherweight title on the line. The 7-0 Ortega, seen as “the next generation of the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Academy” in the city of Torrance, also puts in time as part of Black House MMA and comes off of a win over Jordan Rinaldi. Koch, the co-founder of Hard Drive MMA and the older brother of “New Breed” Erik Koch,  comes in at 5-0 as a professional, and much like his opponent, owns the brunt of his finishes via submission.

Hall-Leben tops UFC 168 prelims, main card finalized

A likely loser-leaves-town fight will top the preliminary portion of UFC 168, as Chris Leben and Uriah Hall do battle in middleweight action. Also, main-card bouts of Josh Barnett vs. Travis Browne, Fabricio Camoes vs. Jim Miller, and Diego Brandao vs. Dustin Poirier  complete the main card, while William Macario tops the Facebook portion of the card against Bobby Voelker. UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman tops the entire night of fights in his first defense against former champion Anderson Silva.

Daley tops BAMMA 14 card.

Paul Daley will top a stacked BAMMA 14 card, which is also slated to feature Colin Fletcher, Max Nunes,  and others on the billing. Daley comes off of an impressive streak of wins and will make the first of a slew of appearances that will come exclusively under the BAMMA banner. His opponent, Romario Silva, represents the Blackzilians squad and looks to garner a big win at the expense of “Semtex”.

Hamilton-Schoonover for HW crown at MFC 39

MFC heavyweight champion Anthony Hamilton makes the first defense of his title after a vicious second-round KO of Smealinho Rama in his most recent outing. That first defense will come at MFC 39, when he faces former TUF 10 alum Darril Schoonover. “The Boss” agreed to a multi-fight deal in the MFC and rides a three-fight winning streak into his promotional debut, but will get. a rough welcome from the heavyweight world champion.
