Rashid Magomedov has inked a deal with the promotion, and is expected to make his debut at UFC 169 against Tony Martin. Magomedov is the M-1 Global welterweight champion, who holds a professional record of 15-1. Jones had already been announced as one half of the cover members, with the second being determined by fan voting. The 16-man tournament came down to Gustafsson and Georges St-Pierre, with the Swedish fighter winning. There were over 11 millions vote cast throughout the entire process.
