UFC 172 coming to Baltimore with Jon Jones in main event

For the first time, the UFC will travel to Baltimore to host an event featuring a fight for the light heavyweight championship.

Jon Jones will go toe-to-toe with top contender Glover Teixeira in the main event of the evening on April 26 from the Baltimore Arena. Tickets for the event go on sale Feb. 7.

Keith Kizer resigns as head of Nevada Athletic Commission

Keith Kizer has stepped down as Nevada State Athletic Commission executive director.

Kizer has been in the position since 2006, but has now decided to return to the attorney general’s office. He had previously been in office before transitioning into athletic commission in 2001.

Louis Gaudinot vs. Phil Harris added to UFC Fight Night 37 in London

Flyweights Louis Gaudinot vs. Phil Harris are expected to square off at UFC Fight Night 37 in London.

The event, which takes place on March 8 from the O2 Arena, will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass. The main event features a light heavyweight showdown between Alexander Gustafsson and Jimi Manuwa.

Gleristone Santos, Pedro Nobre sign with Titan Fighting Championship

Two Brazilian Top Team fighters have signed with Titan Fighting Championship.

Gleristone Santos and Pedro Nobre have inked deals with the promotion, and will debut on Feb. 28. Santos will take on Kalvin Hackney, while Nobre does not have an opponent at this time.

Titan FC 27 will be the first to be held on CBS Sports Network, and will feature Jorge Gurgel vs. Mike Ricci in the main event.

Cage Warriors 64 adds multiple fights

First the promotion’s first event of 2014, Cage Warriors already has bouts scheduled for CWFC 64 on Feb. 15.

James Pennington will look for his fourth-straight win as he takes on Cory Tait, David Lee battles Nad Narimani, Spencer Hewitt locks horns with Scott Pooley, and Amanda Kelly meets Laura Howarth in a women’s bout.
