“Rumble” Johnson Gets Second Chance, Faces Phil Davis at UFC 172

Anthony “Rumble” Johnson will get another chance inside the Octagon when he returns to the UFC to face top contender Phil Davis at UFC 172. Since getting cut from the UFC over two years ago, Rumble has gone undefeated and has mainly competed under the World Series of Fighting banner. Davis has been in a bit of limbo since his UFC 163 win against Lyoto Machida but will look to insert himself in the title picture with a win.

Scheduled for April 26, UFC 172 is slated to be headlined by an UFC light heavyweight title match-up between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira

UFC 172 Adds Luke Rockhold vs. Tim Boetsch

A middleweight contest between Luke Rockhold and Tim Boetsch has been scheduled for UFC 172. Rockhold, the former Strikeforce middleweight champ, picked up his first Octagon victory after defeating Costas Philippou. Boetsch meanwhile was able to stop a two-fight losing streak by picking up a split-decision win in his last bout.

Bellator 112 Card Finalized, Set to Feature Daniel Straus vs. Pat Curran III

Bellator has finalized the Bellator 112 card set for March 14 from the Horshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. Headlining the card will be the rubber match between Daniel Straus and Pat Curran for the Bellator featherweight title. Straus defeated Curran at Bellator 106 by unanimous decision.

Also on the card is the opening round of the upcoming welterweight tournament featuring Nah’Shon Burrell vs. War Machine, Jesse Juarez vs. Andrey Koreshkov, and Sam Oropeza vs. Joe Riggs.

Cage Warriors Announces First Card in Scandinavia

Cage Warriors Fighting Championship has announced it will travel to Scandinavia for the first time with its Cage Warriors 66 card. The event is scheduled to feature local standouts Nicolas Dalby, Jack Hermansson and Mohsen Bahari.

Cage Warriors 66 will be the first of four events scheduled to happen in Scandinavia this year. Cage Warriors 66 is scheduled to go down on March 22.
