Baszler-Kaufman II Set for April

“The Queen of Spades” Shayna Baszler will make her long-awaited Octagon debut on April 16 when she rematches former Strikeforce bantamweight champion Sarah Kaufman.

The pair met previously in 2009 at Strikeforce Challengers 2 with Kaufman earning a unanimous decision verdict.

Baszler competed on The Ultimate Fighter 18, but has been out of action due to injury.

The TUF: Nations Finale takes place on April 16 from the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada.

Lightweights Miller and Green Meet at UFC 172

Veteran lightweights Jim Miller and Bobby Green have agreed to lock horns at April’s UFC 172 in Baltimore.

Miller is coming off a submission win over Fabricio Camoes, while Green bested James Krause in his last outing.

UFC 172 takes place from the Baltimore Arena on April 26 and is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira.

Krylov Replaces Silva Against OSP

Ukrainian Nikita Krylov will make his light heavyweight debut against Ovince St. Preux at UFC 171 on March 15.

Krylov is replacing Brazilian Thiago Silva who was recently cut from the promotion.

UFC 171 takes place from the American Airlines Center in Dallas and features a welterweight title tilt between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler.

RFA Champ Pedro Munhoz Joins UFC

RFA bantamweight champion Pedro Munhoz has been signed by the UFC and will make his promotional debut at UFC 170 on Feb. 22 against Raphael Assuncao.

Assuncao was expected to meet Francisco Rivera at the event, but a broken hand forced Rivera out of the contest.

UFC 170 takes place from the Mandalay Bay Events Center and is headlined by a women’s bantamweight title bout between Ronda Rousey and Sara McMann.

Burkman vs. Stinson Added to WSOF 9 Card

A battle of veteran welterweights has been added to the March 29 World Series of Fighting 9 card in Las Vegas.

UFC veteran and recent WSOF title challenger Josh Burkman will face off with Strikeforce veteran Tyler Stinson.

WSOF 9 takes place from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and is headlined by a welterweight title fight between Steve Carl and Rousimar Palhares.

Invicta FC Inks Multiple Fighters

Invicta Fighting Championships is quickly expanding its roster.

In addition to the signing of New Zealand featherweight Faith Van Duin, the promotion has signed atomweight Amber Brown and strawweights Livia Renata Souza and Karolina Kowalkiewicz.

The promotion has yet to announce its eighth event, but details are expected in the coming weeks.
