Lightweight Zach Juusola has suffered an injury and his bout with E.J. Brooks has been pulled from Friday’s Resurrection Fighting Alliance 13 event.

Juusola, who fights out of Minnesota Fight Factory, was slated to make his promotional debut at the event. Brooks, meanwhile, was looking to bounce back from a split decision loss to Johnny Case at RFA 10 in October.

The Juusola-Brooks contest was slated to kick off the AXS TV-broadcast main card. Taking its place on the six-fight, televised portion of the card will be bantamweight contest between Austin Lyons and Darrick Minner.

RFA 13 takes place Friday, March 7 from the Pershing Center in Lincoln, Neb. The night’s main event features a lightweight battle between Ultimate Fighter season eight winner Efrain Escudero and TUF: Live alum Dakota Cochrane. In the co-main event, the promotion will determine whether Andrew Sanchez or Miles Marshall will challenge Kevin Casey for the promotion’s vacant middleweight title later this year.

The event will feature a total of 15 bouts. The night’s action kicks off with eight amateur contests and is followed by seven professional fights. The main card will air live on AXS TV starting at 10 p.m. ET.
