Just days after its 27th event, Titan Fighting Championship has revealed its plans for its 28th event in April.

Titan sources have said that the promotion will not be returning to Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kan., for the event. Yet, while a date and location for the event are not finalized, a light heavyweight contest between UFC veterans Vinny Magalhaes and Jason Brilz is set for the event.

Magalhaes, a talented submission specialist, was the runner-up on the eighth season of The Ultimate Fighter. After falling short against Ryan Bader on TUF, he fell to fellow castmate Eliot Marshall and was released from the promotion. The Brazilian bounced around the regional circuit before finding a home with the M-1 Global promotion and rattling off five straight wins. That success earned Magalhaes a second stint with the UFC, but the 29-year-old went just 1-2, falling to Phil Davis and Anthony Perosh in his two most recent bouts. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace will look to get back on track inside the Titan cage.

Nebraska’s Brilz has also had his ups and downs at the highest level of the sport. The 38-year-old compiled a record of 3-4 with the UFC, which included losses to the aforementioned Marshall and Bader. However, since his release in late 2011, Brilz has put together a three-fight winning streak that includes a win over Ultimate Fighter alum Josh Bryant.

Titan FC 28 will air live on the CBS Sports Network. More information on the fight card, including the date and location are expected to be announced by the promotion in the coming weeks.
