UFC Fight Night 40, taking place on May 10 in Cincinnati, is getting more and more stacked by the minute.

According to UFC.com, middleweights Lorenz Larkin and Costas Philippou have verbally agreed to square off inside the Octagon.

Larkin, currently unranked at middleweight, will looking to fight his way back in to the UFC rankings following his unanimous decision loss to Brad Tarvares at UFC Fight Night 35 in January. Larkin exploded on the MMA scene back in 2012 when he bested Robbie Lawler over three rounds at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine. Since that victory, Larkin has gone 1-2, suffering decision losses to Francis Carmont and the aforementioned Tarvares.

Philippou is looking to rebound from his first-round knockout loss to Luke Rockhold on the same card Larkin was handed his loss by Tarvares. Philippou, currently ranked No. 10 in the UFC middleweight division, is currently on a two-fight losing skid after going on a five-fight winning streak, which included wins over Jorge Rivera, Tim Boetsch and Riki Fukuda.

UFC Fight Night 40 takes place Saturday, May 10 from the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. The main card will be headlined by a welterweight bout featuring Matt Brown vs. Erick Silva and will air live on Fox Sports 1 with the undercard streaming live via the promotion’s digital network, UFC Fight Pass.
