One house, 16 fighters. It might not seem all that daunting, but each season, The Ultimate Fighter’s format takes a toll, both mentally and physically, on the fighters seeking to snag that six-figure contract. While TUF Nations is hitting the semifinal round, the third installment of the Brazilian version of the UFC’s landmark reality series is just beginning.

On the second episode of the show, we picked up where we left off in the elimination round, as the other half of the 32 fighters were vying for spots in the TUF house. Eight more middleweights and eight more heavyweights closed out the elimination round and fought to join teams coached by former Pride champion Wanderlei Silva and three-time UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen.

The coaches prepared to pick their team, but things heated up between Silva and Sonnen, with Silva demanding an apology from Sonnen for the remarks that the latter made prior to one of his bouts with former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva. Silva told his rival that if he did not apologize, he would leave and not return until Sonnen did. Whether or not Sonnen actually apologized remains to be seen, at least until next week.

The show streams each Sunday on the promotion’s Fight Pass digital network.
