Welterweights Danny Roberts and Jimmy Wallhead have been added as the main event at Cage Warriors 68 on May 3 from the Liverpool Echo Arena.

The man known as “Judo Jimmy” given his black belt in the discipline, Wallhead is well known in the UK and throughout Europe having fought for Cage Warriors on a number of previous occasions. However, he has most recently been fighting for BAMMA, where back in December he earned an impressive knockout via slam.

Wallhead has had a storied career, fighting against some of the best names in the welterweight division outside of the UFC. He has beaten the likes of Frank Trigg, Joey Villesenor, Matt Veach, Che Mills and even current UFC fighter Igor Araujo, who is currently unbeaten in the UFC.

Danny “Hot Chocolate” Roberts is set to fight in his adopted home of Liverpool and will no doubt be looking to continue his impressive run in front of some of his closest friends and family. Roberts is unbeaten in his last four bouts and has not tasted defeat since December 2011. That sole loss came via heel hook to Pavel Doroftei.

This welterweight clash is in addition to the other notable fights matching Leeroy Barnes against UFC vet Che Mills. Whilst Mauro Chimento has been given the task of stopping Matt Inman who will enter this fight full of confidence after improving his current run to 4-0 with a win over Gregor Weibel at Cage Warriors 64 in February.
