The UFC is headed to New Mexico.

The promotion has revealed that it will visit the Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque on June 7. Headlining the event will be a lightweight bout between former WEC and UFC champion Benson Henderson and the surging Rustam Khabilov.

The “Fight Night” event marks the promotion’s first visit to the state.

Henderson will enter the contest on the heels of a controversial split decision win over Josh Thomson at UFC on Fox 10 in January. The win got the former champion back in the win column, having lost his belt to Anthony Pettis at UFC 164 via first-round armbar. Prior to the Pettis loss, Henderson had reeled off seven straight wins inside the Octagon. The bout with Khabilov will mark the seventh straight event that Henderson has headlined.

Khabilov, meanwhile, will look to extend his current winning streak to seven against the former champion. The Dagestan native trains out of Jackson’s MMA in Albuquerque and has won his first three UFC appearances. His last victory came against former Strikeforce title challenger Jorge Masvidal at UFC Fight Night 31: Fight for the Troops 3 in November. This will be Khabilov’s first headlining appearance in the UFC.

Tickets for the event will go on sale on April 18. More fights, as well as the official broadcast plans for the event, are expected to be announced in the near future. It is likely that the event will air on Fox Sports 1 with the prelims streaming via the promotion’s digital network, UFC Fight Pass.
