Folks in San Antonio better get their popcorn ready because Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens are coming to put on a show when the UFC heads to town later this year.

According to Fox Sports, the two featherweights will square off in the main event of the upcoming UFC Fight Night card from San Antonio, Texas. Swanson has won five fights in a row, including four KO/TKO wins during that streak. Stephens is also on a roll, winning three straight in the Octagon, including a win over former top 10-ranked featherweight Darren Elkins.

It’s a tale of resurgence for both men as they head into their clash. Swanson was in no man’s land towards the tail end of his WEC career. Starting with WEC 37 in 2008, Swanson alternated wins and losses up until his recent streak that began in January of 2012. There’s no shame in losing to the names Swanson lost to, but he could never manage to sustain any momentum in the division.

Stephens was also floundering as a lightweight, dropping three straight at 155 pounds. He was also involved in a highly publicized arrest just days prior to UFC on FX 5 that stemmed from an assault charge that dated back to 2011. Stephens eventually cleared up his legal woes and dropped down to the featherweight division where he’s yet to taste defeat.

The UFC Fight Night card is expected to go down on June 28 from the AT&T Center in San Antonio, and will air live on Fox Sports 1.
