Legacy Fighting Championship (Mike Calimbas)uU5Wu-F_7yULegacy FC 29: Myron Dennis vs. Paul Buentello Full Fight Video Highlights The MMA Corner Staff March 21, 2014 Events, Spotlight, Video On Friday, March. 21, Legacy Fighting Championship visited the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Okla., for its 29th event. The main card aired live on AXS TV. The card was expected to be headlined by a featherweight title fight between former WEC and UFC veteran Leonard Garcia and Shane Howell. “Bad Boy” captured the Legacy belt in December with a first-round knockout of Kevin Aguilar. However, Howell fell ill on the day of the event and was not cleared to compete by doctors. As such, the night’s scheduled co-main event moved into the top-billing, as former Strikeforce and UFC combatant Paul Buentello took on Myron Dennis for the promotion’s vacant light heavyweight strap. At 40 years of age, Buentello has reinvented himself at 205 pounds. The former heavyweight bested fellow big-show veteran James McSweeney in his last outing to stretch his winning streak to four. Dennis, an Oklahoma product, made his promotional debut riding the momentum of seven finishes in his nine wins. The 10-fight event kicked off with five, un-aired preliminary card bouts. The night’s five-fight main card aired live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET. For the full results of the event, click here.
