On Sunday, March 23, the UFC hosted UFC Fight Night 38: Shogun vs. Henderson II from the Ginasio Nelio Dias in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil.

In the night’s main event, MMA legends collided for a second time as former Pride and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson faced former Pride Middleweight Grand Prix and UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. The pair met previously at UFC 139 in 2011 in one of the greatest fights in the sport’s history. Henderson edged Rua on the scorecards after the five-round war. The two veterans have struggled since the epic battle, with Henderson dropping three straight bouts and the Brazilian Rua going 2-2.

Also on the main card, a number of Ultimate Fighter winners looked to continue climbing the ladder in their respective divisions. TUF: Brazil winner Cezar Ferreira took on fellow TUF alum C.B. Dollaway in the co-main event, while TUF: Smashes winner Norman Parke clashed with TUF: Brazil 2 winner Leonardo Santos.

The 11-fight event kicked off Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET with a single fight streaming on the promotion’s digital network, UFC Fight Pass. Four additional preliminary card bouts followed on Fox Sports 1 at 5 p.m. ET, with the six-fight main card airing live at 7 p.m. ET.
