UFC Fight Night 38 Drug Results Come Back Clean

The Brazilian MMA Athletic Commission announced that all test results came back negative from UFC Fight Night 38. Dan Henderson’s testosterone levels were under the acceptable limit.

The card was headlined by a rematch between Henderson and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. The fight came to an end as Henderson knocked Rua out cold with a right hand as the two exited a clinch. In the co-main event, C.B. Dollaway derailed the Cezar Ferreira hype-train in just 39-seconds by way of TKO.

World Series of Fighting Announces WSOF 10 and WSOF 11

The World Series of Fighting promotion announced a pair of upcoming events this past weekend.

WSOF 10 will be slated for June 21 with a pair of title fights headlining the card. Georgi Karakhanyan will defend his title against Rick Glenn, and David Branch will face Jesse Taylor for the inaugural WSOF middleweight strap.

WSOF 11 will feature Rousimar Palhares squaring off with Jon Fitch for the promotion’s welterweight title. Also on the card will be Justin Gaethje defending his lightweight title against MMA sensation Nick Newell. Tyrone Spong is also expected to compete on the July card.

Uriah Hall vs. Thiago Santos Added to UFC 175

Former Ultimate Fighter sensation Uriah Hall will be back in the Octagon at UFC 175 as he faces Thiago Santos. Hall picked up his first victory in the UFC after stopping Chris Leben at UFC 168. Santos is 1-1 in the UFC but is coming off a TKO win over Ronny Markes.

UFC 175 is scheduled for July 6 and will be headlined by an UFC middleweight title fight between Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida.

Yves Edwards vs. Piotr Hallmann Moved to UFC Fight Night 43

Originally scheduled for UFC 173, a lightweight battle between Yves Edwards and Piotr Hallmann will be pushed back to UFC Fight Night 43 on June 7. Edwards is in the midst of a three-fight losing streak while Hallmann lost by unanimous decision to Al Iaquinta in his last appearance.
