Holm fractures left arm in Legacy title win

Holly Holm captured the inaugural Legacy women’s bantamweight title against Juliana Werner, but it did not come without a price. Early in the bout, Holm fractured her left arm, which would cause Holm to put on her most kick-heavy performance to date. Although it still remains unknown exactly how or when it happened, the fracture will keep Holm out of action until further notice.

Kang out, Camus in against Holdsworth at UFC 173

The Ultimate Fighter 18 men’s bantamweight winner Chris Holdsworth will receive a new opponent for UFC 173, as scheduled foe Kyung Ho Kang has been forced to withdraw from the bout due to an undisclosed injury. Chico Camus, whose 3-1 record inside the UFC includes a win over Kang, will fill in to compete against the surging bantamweight prospect Holdsworth. It will be Holdsworth’s first fight since beating Davey Grant at The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale. UFC officials have not yet confirmed whether or not the bout will serve as part of a televised preliminary bout.

Harris signs deal with CWFC

Fresh off of a four-fight stint with the UFC, Phil Harris has now signed a brand new five-fight deal with Cage Warriors Fighting Championships. The first fight of Harris’ new deal begins at CWFC Fight Night 11 on April 18, when Harris faces undefeated Kurban Gadzhiev. The Russian prospect holds a 6-0 pro record, with half of his wins coming by rear naked choke and the other half coming by TKO due to punches.

Cummins draws Barroso at UFC Fight Night 43

Patrick Cummins will get another shot to achieve a first UFC win when he returns to the promotion this summer. After suffering his first pro loss to Daniel Cormier at UFC 170, Cummins will see action at UFC Fight Night 43 in June opposite Francimar Barroso. Barroso finds himself looking to regain momentum after a split-decision loss to Hans Stringer at UFC Fight Night 38.

Former boxing champion Julaton signs with ONE FC

Former IBO and WBA world super-bantamweight champion Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton has signed with Victor Cui’s ONE Fighting Championship, and plans to make her pro MMA debut at ONE FC: Rise of Heroes on May 2. The former boxing champion owned a record of 13-4-1 during her time in the “sweet science”. Out of those thirteen wins, five came in world title bouts, and she aims to carry that success over to the world of MMA.
