On Friday, April 11, Resurrection Fighting Alliance hosted its 14th event from the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center in Cheyenne, Wyo.

The night’s main event featured a flyweight title bout between Matt Manzanares and Brazilian Junior Maranhão.

Manzanares, a Wyoming native, got his second crack at RFA gold at the event. The flyweight was last in action at RFA 11 in November where he fell short against current UFC combatant Zach Makovsky. The loss snapped a two-fight winning streak inside the RFA cage for Manzanares. It also marked the first time that the former Junior Olympian boxer had gone five rounds in his MMA career.

For Maranhão, the title fight marked the first time he’s competed outside of his native Brazil. The Guarujá native was riding a six-fight winning streak with all six victories coming by stoppage. Fighting out of Bronx’s Gold Gym, the 21-year-old last tasted defeat since 2011.

Also on the main card, the promotion determined a No. 1 contender for its featherweight strap as Mark Dickman took on Raoni Barcelos.

The event featured a total of 10 bouts. The night’s action kicked off with three amateur contests and was followed by seven professional fights. The main card aired live on AXS TV starting at 10 p.m. ET.
