Iuri Alcantara vs. Vaughan Lee Added to UFC Fight Night 41 in Berlin Iuri Alcantara vs. Vaughan Lee has been added to the UFC Fight Night 41 card. Alcantara has gone 4-2 inside the Octagon and is coming off a split-decision victory over Wilson Reis back in February. Lee has alternated wins and losses throughout his UFC career but two of those losses came to some of the best in the bantamweight division, Raphael Assuncao and TJ Dillashaw. Lee also famously became the first person to submit Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto in MMA at UFC 144. UFC Fight Night 41 is expected to take place at O2 World in Berlin on May 31. The card is expected to be headlined by a middleweight contest between Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi. Source: MMA Junkie K-1 Signs Paul “Semtex” Daley K-1 Global has announced that it has signed former UFC and Strikeforce competitor, Paul “Semtex” Daley. Daley has been focusing on kickboxing thus far in 2014 with three kickboxing bouts already under his belt. He’s also won all three of those by knockout. Daley is expected to debut at the K-1 event in Thailand in July and will be competing at 80 kilograms (176 pounds). Source: Liver Kick Former UFC Fighter Gerald Harris Retires from MMA Gerald Harris has decided to step away from the sport of MMA. The former UFC and WSOF competitor announced the decision on his Facebook page. Harris finishes his career with a successful 22-5 record while going out on a win over Jorge Santiago. Harris was infamously released from the UFC after just a single loss following his bout with Maiquel Falcao at UFC 123. Source: Facebook Joseph Duffy Returns to CWFC Lightweight Division Former title challenger Joseph Duffy has signed a five-fight deal to compete with the Cage Warriors Fighting Championship promotion. He hasn’t competed in MMA since 2011 after choosing to compete in boxing. He amassed a 7-0 record in professional boxing but will now return to the sport of MMA. Ji Xian faces Thanh Vu, Alain Ngalani will battle Chi Lewis Perry, Radeem Rahman and Stephen Langdown return to face Raymond Tan & Casey Suire. Nik Harris will also get a rematch with Brad Robinson.
