Perez is currently sporting a flawless 8-0 record in professional mixed martial arts, with five wins coming by way of submission, one by TKO and only two fights left in the hands of the judges. Perez’s opponent, Wade, captured the ROC lightweight title at Ring of Combat 47 when he submitted Pat DeFranco with a rear-naked choke in the second round of their bout. Wade has a professional record of 6-1, with his lone defeat coming by decision against Ozzy Dugulubgov at World Series of Fighting 2. This will mark Wade’s first defense of the title. Recently, Perez joined The MMA Corner staff writer Jason Schielke via Skype to discuss his upcoming fight against Wade.
