Dantas out, Warren-Silva for Bellator interim BW title

Bellator bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas planned on making another defense of his title against Joe Warren this Friday, but a head injury will prevent Dantas from competing. As a result, Warren will challenge Rafael Silva for the Bellator interim bantamweight title at Bellator 118 next weekend. Dantas hopes to meet the winner later this year, but a timetable was not announced for Dantas’ return.

Phillips out, Machado in against Almeida at Legacy FC 32

With Matt Hobar vacating the Legacy bantamweight title to sign with the UFC, Legacy FC planned to feature undefeated prospects Thomas Almeida and Aaron Phillips in a bout for the vacant belt at Legacy FC 32 on June 20. However, Phillips has been sidelined due to injury, making way for undefeated 4-0 prospect Caio Machado to challenge Almeida for the title. Machado won  his promotional debut in January, earning a decision victory over then-undefeated Domingo Pilarte, while Almeida looks for his third-straight win in Legacy FC and comes in with a reputation for knockout wins in his past 10 victories, as well as 16 stoppages in 16 career wins.
