On Friday, May 2, ONE Fighting Championship hosted its 15th event, dubbed Rise of Heroes, from the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines.

The event was headlined by a championship clash between former DREAM featherweight and bantamweight kingpin Bibiano Fernandes and Bellator and Shooto veteran Masakatsu Ueda. The champion Fernandes entered the contest riding a seven-fight winning streak, with his last three victories coming inside the ONE FC cage. Ueda, meanwhile, also rode a three-fight winning streak for the promotion into the title tilt.

In the co-main event, former ONE FC lightweight title holder Kotetsu Boku looked to build upon his first-round knockout of Arnaud Lepont in March as he faced off with Filipino Eduard Folayang. The Team Lakay fighter Folayang had complied a record of 3-3 with the promotion and was looking to put on a show in front of his hometown crowd.

Also on the main card, another Team Lakay product, flyweight Rey Docyogen squared off with Joshua Alvarez, Australian featherweight Rob Lisita looked for revenge against Yusuke Kawanago, and former UFC heavyweight James McSweeney faced off with Chris Lokteff.

The nine-fight event kicked off at 7 a.m. ET with two preliminary card bouts. The main card followed at 8 a.m ET. It aired via online pay-per-view for $9.99.
