On Friday, May 30, ONE Fighting Championship hosted its 16th event, dubbed Honor & Glory, from the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore.

The event was headlined by a welterweight bout between promotional newcomer Ben Askren and sambo stylist Bakhtiyar Abbasov. Askren, the former Bellator champion and NCAA wrestling national champion, carried with him a perfect 12-0 record into the ONE FC cage. The Azerbaijan native Abbasov, meanwhile, entered the bout riding a nine-fight winning streak that included eight finishes.

In the co-main event, lightweights Eddie Ng and Vincent Latoel locked horns. Ng stepped into the cage on a five-fight winning streak, with his last four coming under the ONE FC banner. Across the cage from the Evolve MMA product was Golden Glory’s Latoel who looked to bounce back from a loss to Eduard Folayang in his last outing.

Also on the main card, former ONE FC featherweight title holder Honorio Banario squared off with Mongolia’s Jadamba Narantungalag, former UFC and Strikeforce fighter Caros Fodor clashed with Willy Ni, and grappling ace Bruno Pucci met Major Overall.

The nine-fight event kicked off at 6 a.m. ET with two preliminary card bouts. The main card followed at 7 a.m ET. It aired via online pay-per-view for $9.99.
