UFC Fight Night 41 post-fight bonuses

UFC Fight Night 41 marked the first time in a long time that no “Fight of The Night” bonuses were given out by the promotion, but rest assured, a number of the night’s winners got a little something extra in their paychecks. Niklas Backstrom, C.B. Dollaway, Gegard Mousasi, and Magnus Cedenblad all earned $50,000 for their respective wins in Berlin earlier today. The choice to issue four performance bonuses instead of two differs from the UFC’s norm, which sees them issue two performances, in addition to one “Fight of The Night” bonus.

Hunt-Nelson headlines UFC return to Japan

When the UFC returns to the Saitama Super Arena this September, they will bring a clash of two hard-hitting heavyweights. Pride veteran Mark Hunt will battle The Ultimate Fighter 10 winner Roy Nelson in a heavyweight tilt that is expected to headline the Sept. 21 bill in Japan. While Nelson comes off of a knockout win over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in Abu Dhabi, Hunt will fight for the first time since going to a draw with Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.
