Welcome to The Fuller Fight Factor LIVE, a semi-periodical show focusing on the world of combat sports, health, fitness and overall awesomeness. In this episode, host Justin Fuller is joined by Professor Carlos Carvalho.

Professor Carvalho is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and the head instructor of Carlson Gracie Team – Virginia Beach. He is also the CEO of the ADCC North America Federation. He is the 2013 IBJJF European Open No-Gi champion and the 2013 Rome International Open IBJJF champion. He will be competing again on Aug. 9 at the Chicago Summer International Open IBJJF Championship.

The primary focus of this episode revolved around ADCC North America and its upcoming National Tournament Series events in Chicago, North Carolina and New York City. This episode also provided an in-depth look at the selection process for qualifying and competing in the ADCC Worlds, as well as the uniqueness of the ADCC Federation.

The next ADCC North America tournament will be in Chicago on June 21 at the Frontier Park Field House. This event will feature two super fights: Rodrigo Comprido vs. Leonardo Pecanha and Jeff Curran vs. Omor Choudhury. Three weeks later, the North Carolina tournament will be help July 12 at Cabarrus Arena in Concord. It is expected to feature at least one super fight, with Jeff Monson expected to participate. The trip to NYC will be the second this year and will coincide with the World MMA Expo, which takes place July 26-27 at Javits Center in Manhattan. Renato “Babalu” Sobral is expected to participate in a super fight in NYC against an opponent who is yet to be named.
