Women’s MMA pioneer Sexton retires After 18 pro fights in a career spanning over 12 years, women’s MMA pioneer Rosi Sexton has elected to call it a career. The former UFC, Bellator, and Cage Warriors veteran owned recent decision losses in two UFC bouts, and a knockout loss in her most recent Cage Warriors appearance. Despite the setbacks, Sexton remained a favorite in the eyes of many in the MMA world, especially in the Cage Warriors promotion, where she defeated her first six foes under the promotion’s banner. Source: MMA Junkie ONE FC targeting mainland China for 2015 schedule Asian MMA league ONE FC has already done shows in countries all over Asia, and now they have their sites set on mainland China. Four cities within the mainland are being targeted for four shows in the second half of 2014. The promotion hopes to bump that total up to 10 by 2015, though dates for the planned 2014 events were not announced. On the heels of a 2013 loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov, Tavares’ featherweight debut will come again Robbie Peralta. Peralta last defeated TUF Brazil 1 featherweight winner Rony Jason at The Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale last May. Sonnen , who has accomplished many things in the Greco-Roman wrestling circuit, will contend with Andre Galvao, who owns MMA experience, but has recently opted to focus on his grappling career.
